DISADVANTAGED FAMILIES IN BALTIMORE NEED YOUR HELP
In partnership with St. Vincent de Paul and
Headstart, the Baltimore POWER Group will be organizing “THE GIVING EVENT” which will be held on October 14,
2023, at a location in downtown Baltimore which will be identified at a later date.
What makes this different from most food drive events is that each family will be pre-registered and will be able to purchase 2 bags full of food for $2.00. The 2 bags will contain food valued at over $100.00.
At this time, we are looking for either monetary donations that can be sent now or a commitment of food donations to be collected the week before the event. Monetary donations can be made through our website – www.baltimorepowergroup.com under the payments tab. Tax receipts will be issued for all monetary donations made for more than $250.00. Please make sure to mention “The Giving Event” in comments.
Food donations will receive in-kind donation letters which can be used as a deduction for fair market value of the foods donated.
We are also looking for connections to food sources that might enable us to obtain discounts so we can serve more families.
